This HONDA EU3000IS Generator Not Repairable

Customer delivered very rough looking Honda EU3000IS generator asking for me to see if I could get it running. Starter rope would not pull out indicating problem with pull cord or seized engine.

From the appearance it was logical to assume the generator was not properly cared for. I drained the oil through a tea strainer and saw hundreds of small metal fragments in the oil.

Engine not repairable. Waiting for customer’s decision as to whether to replace the engine or scrap the unit.
